Recommend some great hair gel and washing products for man, please.

You cannot go wrong with Brylcreem products, and Loreal elseve for men (silver bottle)
George Clooney was a "Dapper Dan" man in "O Brother, where Art thou?" so that's supposed to be good! Joico products are good, too. Get those at your salon.
Steer clear of nasty chavish L'oreal, and invest in something by tigi / bedhead from a decent salon.
