"a child had suffer from prolonged fever.treated in a hospital.suddenly gangrene formed and amputated his hand. is there any chance for doctors negligence in treating the children?"the child had been admitted in that hospital for 11 days.he was under treatment and moniterised by doctors time to time.in the 7th day they amputated his right hand due to gangrene?is there any chance of medicinal defect or adverse or negligent treatment by doctors results in gangrene?
The cause for suspecting:they promise the parents that they replace with artificial limb and not to disclose the fact

Looks like someone is reading a patient chart and posted it. There could be underlying hypercoaguability disorders such as Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome.

Gangrene means the tissue is dead. There is no blood flow to it and inorder to stop the progession of it up a limb, it must be removed. I am sorry this child has to go through this but I am very sure there is an underlying condition. It is typical to give a person a prostetic following amputation. Gangrene rarely occurs in children. Pediatric cases have been reported from countries where poor hygiene is prevalent.


You can get gangrene from many things. With children meningitis is often the cause - limbs are damaged by the infection which causes the flesh to die. Medical negligence is unlikely to be the cause in such cases.
