Developed a muscle ache in upper calf about a month ago. Can't get rid of it?
I'm 66 always been in excellant health. Got sick about a mont ago, and with it aching muscles, but a real bad one in upper calf of leg. Tried cold, heat ben gay, nothing seems to work. Never had any problems with aches before?

Stretch! The best thing to do with most physical problems, especially muscle ache, is to do some stretching. Lift your toes to stretch the calf and keep position for about 15 sec. Repeat a couple of times. Take a break the next day and then repeat by keeping a little longer and doing more reps. Try smooth training like walking everyday and increase the time walked everyday up to 60-90 min. if you have the energy and time! If this doesn't work after a month then make sure to see a Doc!
