My Dad (73 years old) has an enlarged prostate gland and he has been taking medicine and now stopped .In a recent test it was revealed he has a higher level of pus in his urine. It was said 200% more than what he should have. He will be seeing the doctor soon but what does this mean?He doesnt like operations to remove the prostate gland. Whats the possible cure for this?
Answers:
Are you saying that he has an extremely high PSA (prostate specifif antigen) number? Pus is an indication of an infection not BPH (benign prostate hyperplasia). Your fathers urologist should explain the situation to your satisfaction.
He should just follow doctor's orders. How can he not like operations to remove his prostate gland. Most men sdon't even know what the gland if for. He has to do what he needs to do to prolong his life.
