Anti-depressants have my sex drive down (as in once a month). I WANT to want to...?

...but that's as far as I get. Vicodin sounds like hella fun. Can I just ask my doctor to prescribe that for me? She knows I'm having sex-drive problems but is trying to be a bit more subtle about it.

Answers:
Ask to switch to Wellbutrin. Claims to have no sexual side effects.
EDIT...
Supposedly, Cymbalta also has a lower risk of sexual side effects.

After you are on the anti-depressants for a while you will get back to normal - I did
I know exactly what you are saying. I'm on Lexapro, and my husband loves it but he hates that I'm never in the mood anymore. I know that Wellbutrin has less sexual side effects. I don't know if you really want to switch medications or what you are on, but that would be an option. I just don't want to switch because I'm so afraid of switching medications. So, what I do is kind of make myself or not make myself but find ways to turn me on for him. Like, I'll read a kind of riscay love novel with really graphic sexual encounters. Funny story, I had to leave on business trip for three days a month ago, and I encountered a book with that kind of content and when I came home, I was so horny and he asked me what I did with his wife. But anyways, just try to find something that you know will turn you on. If not, have your doctor switch medications.
You should ask your doctor if its ok to switch meds, and look for options .Good Luck!
Anti-Depressants are a killer for me, along with other medication. Type 2 diebetis doesn't help things either. I take Flomax also which reduces the whole sexual experience.
Ask your doctor to change your medication. Wellbutrin seems to have the least sexual side effects.

yes you can just ask your doctor for viagra,if he/she won't prescibe it and won't give you a good reason why, change doctors.Depending on what anti-depressant you're on your drive may not get better;I've seen in medical chat rooms where a few people (myself included) who were on prozac and the ability to get an erection nose dived (I went from twice a day to once a week) even after stopping the prozac (my depression problem was caused by divorce) the erections didn't improve.
