Sex seems pointless because of how easy you can catch STDS. What do you think?
I just discovered I have HPV. I wasn't promiscuous, I've only had three girlfriends. We've always got check ups before having sex, and tested healthy. I'm 28. We used condoms but they've slipped off into them a few times. One broke.
Now I'm screwed for life, yet there's people who have many partners who have no diseases. Lucky them.
With that said, it seems that the only way to avoid an STD if I could do it all over again, would be to live a sexless life and pretend sex doesn't exist.
The only other way is if you find a virgin, which is near impossible when your in your twenties, and find one who is the ONE for you, which is again pretty difficult to find. Which means you'd most likely be living without sex forever.
It seems like thats what I or anyone should do if they wish to avoid disease. What do you think?
If you agree, should doctors sever the natural desire in the brain to want sex? That way, no desire for sex, no catching grusome sex diseases.
Thoughts?

I feel sorry that you've gotten HPV, however that shouldn't keep you from having a full sex life. Condoms still are a viable option.
There are people with worse diseases than you that have the courage to lead fulfilling lives. You could learn a lot from them. Sure, feel sorry for yourself.for a while, but get on with life and make something of it, in spite of your affliction.
And as for you, tmkng2001, I happen to be one of those hippies from the 60's. I held a steady job, paid my taxes and contributed to society. My health is excellent and I'm still a contributing member of society. We, the former hippies, contribute the bulk of the money that goes into Medicare, so do your homework and stop acting like the spoiled suburban rug rat you are. I've earned the right to collect my Medicare, while you just sit there whining. Get out, get a job, and start contributing your own share, and just maybe you'll have something to collect when you're my age. You're not entitled. You have to earn it, as I did.
Depends on how high a libido you have.
Also, you can still have sex with all the women that have the same disease.
Cuts your choice some, but they are limited in their choices too.
just find the partner you may have contracted it with and ask her to marry you.lol may work
hmmmmmmmmmmm
you have some good points, but if there was no sex then there would be no reproduction, i mean im sure they could do it artificially for everyone.. but isnt the same as experiencing the whole thing, and its natural to be sexually attracted to other people, it would be too much trouble for doctors to remove that from us in the future, im sorry you got HPV but you cant just diminsh intimate relationships between everyone.. you can just warn them to be careful, and make other aware
The point of sex hasn;t changed but the risks associated sure have. HPV is super common and as with all STD's abstinence or thorough protection is your only defense.
You can;t tell who has an STD by thier looks or personality. Only testing (in most cases) works.
Live your life accordingly.
PS. Blame the hippies of the 60's. Their over indulgence in free sex ruined everything for later generations. And now those punks are gonna bankrupt the company with medicare bills. Hasn;t that spoiled generation done enough to wreck this country?
I don't think going sexless would be the way to go through life. Its this great experience between two people who love each other enough to share that one first moment together. I mean it could have happened to anyone and you aren't the only one out there with that, obviously. But i think we kinda of need that in our lives so we can find a way to relax more and connect with people we love.
Dude, your screwed, nice knowing you!
Maybe you should leave a a list of the hoes you been with
HAHA your sex life is over, no more pussyy for you! LMAO thats what you get for being a dumbfuckk
HPV is pretty common.. around 50% of women have it by the time they are 25. I wouldnt sweat it.
sorry for your predicament dude. life is risky. so is sex. this doesn't mean that we have to stop from living or engaging in sex. we are sexual beings so we can't just deny our nature as such. all we can do is practise safe sex all the time, which includes using the right size of condom so it will not slip off or break during intercourse, and choose our partners well. peace, love & unity. cheers!
I'm sorry to hear about that! i cant believe you took every precaution and still got it. I'm so sorry for you!
Hmm wow i'm suprised cause i thought HPV was a womens disease. Human Papa.virus right? So You a man with it? i thought it was a virus that cause cancer in women. How did you get the HPV gene/virus. I thought it was a gene that causes cancer and couldn't be passed on. (from the commercials i've seen on tv)
