Doctors please answer-?

My husband has "shot a blank" about 3 times within 6 months and he has never done it before. Is it normal? He doesn't have insurance. He still had a full orgasm, but nothing came out! Help!

Answers:
No doctor here but know that when that happens it could be the small tubes leading from the seminal vesicle to the urethra where semen flows through to the outside during orgasm might be blocked.

In men, as they age, the prostate gland swells and closes off the urethra both limiting voiding of urine and/or seminal fluid.

One thing's for sure....that's something your husband should have checked as it could be a sign of something more severe and potentially dangerous.
Where did it go?
possible prostate problem. Any irregular urination habits?
Mind as well go see a doctor and check it out b/c i'm guessing he hasn't had that gland checked yet which should be done.

studying medical field just to let u know
He needs to be evaluated by a Urologist. There could be a problem with his prostate, or a blockage in a seminal vessel.
I would not delay this.

Don't mean to offend you but he could have been "faking it" I've done that before when I was realy tired and been going for a while, my girlfriend just calls it an "inside one" because A. she's realy cute and B. I don't want to tell her I'm too tired because then she could use that one too.
I'm not a doctor...but hope this helps
'Shoots blanks' is usually used to refer to a man who ejaculates semen with no viable sperm - i.e. he shoots, but with nothing that can get a woman pregnant. I have never heard of a man orgasming and keeping in the semen. I believe men can train themselves to do this because they think it heightens sexual pleasure, but I have never heard of it just happening involuntarily. Are you SURE he really orgasmed and is not just having you on? Men fake it sometimes too you know. If he swears he did have an orgasm then maybe he should get his bits checked to ensure they are all in working order!
the sperm may be getting cut off before it reaches the urethra... they are actually working on making pills to DO this and call it "male birth control" they said the men still have an orgasm, so maybe your husband is just lucky! hehe. no but hopefully its nothing serious. i wish the two of you the best of luck in finding your answer
retrograde ejaculation. Look it up on Google. Basically the ejaculate is going backwards into his bladder. It's not serious. It can be caused by a variety of medications, and also by problems with the prostate.
I know you don't have insurance, but i would still have him call a doctor's office and let them know what is going on, and get an idea from them about what could be happening, i'm sure they will run a few things by you, then i'm sure they will tell you to come in. You may also be able to check out a free clinic, some of them might deal with those things.
