i have a hernia and i am getting surgery the week my football season starts will i miss the entire season?

Ask the Doctor, I don't think you would miss the whole season. some people bounce back real fast. You might have to wear some type of padding on that area. Go get them!

My boyfriend had hernia surgery last year or so and couldn't even lift more then twenty pounds for 6 weeks. Football involves more force then twenty pounds, my guess would be if you take it easy, make sure you don't tear the stitches you could probably play towards the end of the season. Good luck with the surgery, try not to sit up for the first few days.
