How do I know if I'm working out too much?
The reason I'm asking is because ever since I moved, I don't have much to do beside training in Muay Thai and boxing. So I usually do some weight work out for about two hours, shadow boxing and bag work for a hour and half then a hour and half of Muay Thai class then a hour and half of boxing. both class also focus some on work out which is very intense.
Very often after doing all of that, I still get urge to continue and feel great.
before that I only train for Muay Thai under a instructor that wasn't as intense. I alway feel so tired when I train under him. However with all this new schedule, I alway feel full of energy, much happier, and able to work out much harder and longer. I also gained two lbs in two weeks that I've been training at this gym.
I'm wondering if I'm overdoing it or not?

It sounds as if you are using your general feeling of feeling good as a guide. That sounds workable.
Another would be to get a grasp of your resting heart rate and see how that fluctuates after hard days. Basically, you just take your heart rate first thing in the morning before anything else happens and before you get out of bed. It may range from 55 if you do a lot of cardio work to 70 or so. But, take if for several days to try to get a feel for it.
Then, on days after you have a really hard workout, you should probably find that it's higher than normal indicating that your body is still in recovery mode. If it is, you can still choose to do another hard workout that day, but basically, you are running on lower energy supplies than if your heart were more in the normal range.
So, the resting heart rate (taken in the morning) can be a great guide to what exercises are doing to your body and when you may decide you need a bit more recovery time.
Sounds like you are doing great and I wish I had your motivation...Keep up the good work, dear.
It sounds like you're doing great. If you start to have lots of injuries that don't have a chance to heal, you may be overdoing it a bit. Otherwise, keep it up. Professional athletes train that long and more. Just eat right and take care of yourself. Good job.
if you feel good you should be just fine.
If you still have the energy to work out, then you're ok. Your body will let you know if you're overdoing it, either by tiredness, or soreness, or a pulled muscle. Don't worry, you won't do any damage to yourself by overdoing it (unless you drop a weight on your foot or something.).
Just one caution about a pulled muscle - it's not a big deal, but it MAY keep you from working out for a week or so. That's really the only worry there.
Love, Jack.
you know youre working out too much when your body seems the same for a long time, it seems like your not working out, because you tired your body out..
