No one should have to go to school to take a shower. Do you mean after gym classes? No you dont have to take a shower. If you have any parents have them contact the school.

It wasn't a problem when I was in school. .We never made a big deal about it. After P.E. we would shower and then hit our next class.. Some guys had such bad body odor, I can't imagine them not showering.. Would you like to sit next to them in a class? Not me.

Most schools where I live don't require showers. Some guys just wash their face. The whole concept of requiring showers is dying.

I know what you mean. Thank goodness we only have to take showers during swimming. (they have bathing suits on). In Gym, we have showers, but we never use them. I don't think they've been used for a while. It would be quite weird to take a shower with other nude boys. Even more so if one of them was gay.
Anyway, it's not fair. Sure, people do smell sometimes, and there should be dividers.
It never occurred to me about being nude.
Only, that steeping out of the shower we had to step in a disinfectant for athletes foot. I swear it made it worse.

Fair or not, this is a school rule so your friend will just have to get used to it. Showering with other boys can be embarrassing - if your friend feels self-conscious, he could always wear a pair of swimming trunks or shorts.
