Burning when I urinate.any idea what it is?
Test for STD's came up negative, and I was treated for urinary tract infection. What else could it be?

maybe an enlarged prostate gland, or you didn't take the full course of antibiotics (or the course wasn't long enough) go back to see your doc and see what he/she has to say
Bladder infections can be stubborn. See your Dr and have him give you a urine test.
It could be a kidney infection. Drink plenty of cranberry juice and water. It should help.
If they treated you for a UTI then you were not on the anitbiotic long enough or need a different one. You may also have a prostrate infection
Could be a return of the UTI. Did you take the meds until they were gone or did you stop when you did not feel symptoms any more?
Might be Candida. Check out www.hufa.org and read about yeast (Candida).
Could be chemical irritation. Soap, contraceptive foam, ?

I would say a urinary tract infection (UTI) but if the treatment didn't work I dont know. Drink alot of cranberry juice and water to flush out your system.

Drink a lot of water. Rule of thumb is 1 glass for every 9kg (1kg=2.24 lbs) body weight a day. And add more for every cup of beverage you drink. Your body has probably heated up. Especially if your urine is yellow or dark colored.

Do you masturbate often? Urine is an acid substance and semen is basic. When they react, it will cause pain. If you ejaculate, sometimes semen can get left behind (especially if it is very thick) and then react with your urine when you pee. Try running a finger along your urethra (underside of the penis) after masturbation in order to "milk" the left over semen behind. Also try drinking more water.
Try to drink lot of water and see it turns better.
You didn't say how long you've been on the treatment for your urinary infection. I'd say you got Urethritis. Had it myself and it takes a little time to clear up. You got some bacteria in your urethra and it will act just like gonorrhea.burning when you urinate.
The lining of your urethra is alkaline, just the kind of environment the bacteria loves. The cranberry juice will reverse it to acid and help kill off the nasty critters.
If you had unprotected anal sex, be it with a man or woman, that could be where you picked up your infection. Next time remember.no balloons, no party.
