my blood pressure is 147/75 is this dangerous?

Answers:
These numbers you gave is not to bad. Normal numbers is for Blood Pressure is 120/80. This is in layman's terms the blood vessels have 120 mmHg of pressure again your walls of the vessels on the up beat of hour heart, called systolic. 80 mmHg of pressure on the resting part of your heart, called diastolic. Any thing above 140 is considered high for the high number and any number over 90 is considered high for the lower number. 147 is just over the limit of the high but 75 is good for the low. I would watch it closely but not be to concern. But always check your BP regularly and try to check it at the same time of the day, as you checked it previously. Also check with your doctor as he may consider it high. The high number is not a concern if it is high a little but the concern is the lower number. It would be around normal when your heart beat is at rest. If not it could put undo stress on your Blood Vessels and they could weaken over time and burst, then that causes a stroke. Best bet is to see your Doctor always, when you are concerned.

i have no idea
The ideal numbers are 120/80. This can vary depending on age, time of day, what you are doing at the moment, etc.
blood pressure ranges are different according to age in your case i would say that it is high its not dangerous but could be i would suggest you see your doctor so that he can monitor your pressure for a few consecutive days
It depends on what your doctor thinks. the 147 can be dangerous I think you should go to the dc to make sure that is not for you because every one is different
It looks slightly higher than normal. Both numbers are important. Medical guidelines state that a normal blood pressure for most adults is less than 120/80 mm Hg. If your blood pressure is above 140/90 mm Hg, you have high blood pressure. Your healthcare professional may call it by its medical term, "hypertension."
It's a little high. It could be dangerous if you have some other problems such as an anurysm. Otherwise it's probably not a big deal. The numbers mean that as your heart contracts, the pressure in your arteries is equal to 147 mm of mercury and then as your heart relaxes the pressure in your arteries is equal to 75 mm of mercury.
The 147 is high. Normal should be 120 or lower, and the 74 is good, it should be 80 or lower. 120/80 is optimal, lower is better.

The first number is most critical, this is the amount of pressure your heart exerts to pump the blood thru your arteries. So the higher the number the harder your heart is working. The harder your heart has to work the more probable it will break down(heart attack, stroke)

The second number is the pressure on your artery walls when your heart is at rest.

Go to a pharmacy and check your pressure once a day every other day for a week or so and take the average. Sometime stress, what you eat, and caffeine can temporally raise your blood pressure, so it's better to get an average. If it averages out high, see a doctor, they have meds to help lower.
120/80 is normal. You pretty high.Watch you diet and get some excercises !
It could lead to a heart attack !
