Why dont animals have exposed penis like humans do?
The penis on male animals stay inside the body until they are ready to have sex unlike a man whose penis is always visible on the outside of the body. Does anybody know why animals penis stay hidden inside their body? Is it so it doesnt get bitten off by other animals?

because their brains are in their heads; unlike human males.
If that's your theory why don't their arms, legs etc. retract?

CAUSE PENS is covered with clothes in humans, animals have extra protection(skin and hair)
I don't think it's not so it doesn't get bitten off. And you can see a dog's penis.
And on a guy we have a foreskin that act's as almost the same.
It's kind of the same thing when you think about it.
Man has invented clothes to hide his special parts..but God knew that animals couldn't so he gave them this ability.
animals copulate to reproduce and most of the time its use of the penis is limited says dave but man is always ready by the drop of the hat to have sex so it must be kept ready for takeoff any moment!
*Rotfl* I would take it that you're circumsized. I used to think the same thing until my first brother was born. I found out there is a layer of skin that we're (men) all born with that protects the most sensitive part of the penis. Most mammals (with the exception of whales, dolphins, manitees, etc.) have something similar but is much thicker and covered in hair. That's probably in part because they cannot stand on two feet and therefore their genitalia is exposed to much more risk of stratches, stings, bites, etc, etc. This isn't as big of a problem for humans if that skin is removed because we usually wear cloths. I'm not advocating or opposing male cirmumsision, I'm just stating the facts.
you got it thats the right explanation of it so other animals dont eat it and rip them off and since humans are capable of thinking they dont need to fight and take it off

All primates (such as monkeys etc) have an external penis similar to human males. However, we do not circumcise animals and so their penises are less noticeable.
