if i walk for 40 minutes after a big meal is that good enough?

does that "burn" enough or get my metabolism going enuff?

Answers:
yes it's good.just wait for your food to settle before walking.
any form of exercise is good.good for you and keep it up!

If you are overweight it would be better to walk BEFORE you eat (a small meal, not a big one), because then your body will be burning your fat. If you walk after eating, your body will use the food you just ate for energy, not the stored fat.
It helps. Just moving around does, but who'd wanna lose all that sexy fat?
well ..*** i know u must make 100 steps after you had a big meal .that's all i know
Walking is a very low impact activity. To burn any significant amount of calories you would have to do it for longer than 40 minutes. I would shoot for 90 if you're trying to lose weight.

If you're just trying to get your heart going and maintain, 40 minutes is enough.
actually,it's better to take that walk 1st. it revs up your metabolic rate so that when you sit down to eat your metabolism is already revved up.
Ya probably
It depends on how fast you walk.
It would be better to walk before the meal rather than after it. 40 minutes of walking a day would count as adequate exercise. As to whether that would not burn off what you have eaten, that would depend both on the number of calories connsumed and on the amount of saturated fat you have consumed. If you are young you don't have to be too worried yet but surplus saturated fat settles in the coronary arteries and can clog it, paving the way to potential heart attacks. An Internet search will give you a quick idea of how many calories are burned in a minute of walking. Remember that every gram of fat yields nine calories, whereas one gram of protein and carbohydrate has four calories of energy.
How about eating a smaller meal and walking for 20min
