Want to be fully conscious when I remove my appendix. Possible?

The nurse in attendance is lovely and curvey. No woman gets that close to me usually.

Answers:
Yes a good doctor and a good anesthetist (anesthesiologist) should be able to treat you in the way that you wish for your treatment to be carried out.

PS - be warned that you may hear lots of strange things in an O.R when your having the operation, is this women really worth staying awake for it ?

Ask for an epidural.
Most will not let you, so you will not freak out if something is said or done during the work.
Yes, spinal anesthetic
Possible but crazy.. make sure that you take a good look at you gut cut open..maybe you see something the doc can take out while he's at it!
I feel sorry for you if the hospital nurse is the only woman that gets close to you! What if its her day off, you go through all that trouble for nothing!
weirdo all over a girl get a life get laid sh*t pay someone to do it or go to a club
Hmmm.well I was fully conscious when they took out my babies via c-section..so why not? Just tell em you dont want to be put totally under.ask for an epidural for anesthesia. If it doesnt work..at least you will know how it feels to a woman giving birth.or just take it like a man and have no anesthesia!
Dont know if you will be up for entertaining the nurse at the time, but its worth a shot i guess..hahahaa.good luck!
your crazy get the cool gas and let them knock you out
u can ask for epidural or spinal anaesthesia...all the best!!
You can have a local anesthesia & remain awake. The sounds & smells of surgery are not very pleasant, so most patients choose to be asleep. It is less risky to the patient to not have general anesthestia, but the increased anxiety levels caused by being awake can be very unpleasant.
