im a real skinny guy, and the other day this guy told me he was going to break me in half. can he?

Answers:
He can't break you in half, but if he's EXTREMELY big he might be able to break your spine if he knows what he's doing. But to actually get you in two pieces, I think he'd need a saw. My advice is that you stay away from that punk. You might also consider eating more until you gain some weight. Also, try exercising!

Also note that if you're taller than the rest of your family, and you have thin limbs, you might have Marfan's Syndrome or Marfan's Disease. It's a disorder of the connective tissue which a doctor suspected me of having. I doubt I have it, but I keep on the lookout for symptoms. If by some chance you do have Marfan's Syndrome, you should think twice about fighting anyone. I think the odds are against you having it, but check anyway. You don't have anything to lose by playing it safe!

No dear..it's just a figure of speech. Bones are very strong he couldn't possibly pick you up and break you in half.
He can probably put quite a hurting on you, but he can not break you in half, at least not just with his hands.
I'm sure he could break certain parts of you in 1/2, but then you could press charges and sue the SOB.

Even if he could break your bones in half, the elasticity of your skin would prevent an actual clean cut in half. So more than likely he would break your spine but your body would still be held together with tendons and whatnot, and at best they would tear unevenly. Also he would have a very hard time measuring the exact halfway mark on your body and would probably be off by a little bit.
Not without help of heavy electrical equipment. He, however, could do major damage, including breaking vertebrae.

1. Threatening someone with violence can be a criminal act. If it was witnessed, you may be able to file a charge of criminal assault. Check with your local district attorney's office about your rights.

2. Just because you are really skinny does not mean you are unable to protect yourself from physical harm. Many really skinny guys compete in martial arts tournaments, and are effectively able to protect themselves. Aikido is one that uses the attacker's strength against him. Tai Quon Do is very defense oriented, I understand.
He could not physically break you in half like a pencil. I would steer clear of him however, if he tried and got you just right, he could snap your spine in half which would be life threatening or paralyse you for life.
LOL..not unless he runs over you with a truck. There is no way he can break you in two pieces. If he says he can, he's got a very low self esteem, or was probably abused as a child or reared in a dysfunctional family that he has to threaten you like that. Next time he says he's going to break you in two pieces, tell him to make sure to leave the breast and wing together, and the thigh and leg together so you can get more money for it. hehehe. Or tell him you'll sit on him. lol. Nahh, don't worry about it darling..he's a coward if he has to threaten you. He's trying to show you he's tough because in all honesty, he's probably just a wimp. And just so you know, you can file charges against him for threats of bodily harm, and if he curses you, you can file charges for profanity.
