CALL THE AA HOTLINE, IT'S A TOLL FREE 800 NUMBER. THERE ARE MEETINGS EVERYWHERE. HE WILL FIND SUPPORT AND HELP FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN WHERE HE IS AT...THERE ARE ALSO MEETINGS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE.. GOOD LUCK

get cuter, he drinks to get over the fact that you're ugly
AA meetings.
Just tell him all the details about how it would hurt him. try going out more and stop having him from drinking .. try making out, going to movies, or shopping, or even eat out. good luck!!
dump him!111
Take him to an AA meeting. They won't tell his parents.

A friend who is a Psychiatrist specializing in addiction told me that it is harder to quit alcohol than to quit heroin.

YOU can't do this for him. He needs professional help.
You need to help him find a support group for teens who are abusing drugs an or alcohol. because he is only 15 he will have a better chance of quiting if he can find professional help as soon as possible good luck.
give him an ultimatem. to quit or you are dumping him he has to want to quit .no one can make him do it.
Well I had a problem at 15 and I didn't burn out (literally) until 34, so move on or get set for a long wait.
go to the doctor with him and find him a good support group for teenage addicts. good luck, if he already says he has a problem you'll have it much easier than some.
Encourage him to go to Alcoholics Anonymous. Then be prepared to cut him out of your life, because if he doesn't get his drinking problem under tight control, you will always be a distant second place in his life to alcohol.
You could get him to attemd AA but this would only work for a devout Christian as you basically ask God to give you enough strength to cure the addiction.
If he goes to a doctor he can get lots of good help to stop drinking and in many cases this is the ebst thing to do.
Personally I gave up drinking (I am a long term alcoholic) because some of my friends asked me to stop and I found it easier to stop than to lose friends.
Tell his parents, or if that doesn't spark an intervention then ask a counselor at school.
AA all the way!
You can not make someone stop drinking, toking, shooting up, snorting, etc. Be you aware if you may be enabling his behavior, where are his parents? I don't know the dynamics of the family situation, you can be a good friend, though. All the recovery groups(free ones) are in the phone book. Get thee to an Al-Anon meeting! Good luck.
Your boyfriend is a minor, which means you need to tell his parents immediately.

Yes, he might get mad at you, and yes, he might break up with you, but what's going on is bigger than that.

His drinking could cause him -- or someone else -- real injury.
