A friend who is a farmer is experiencing the following symptoms:..Does anyone know why?

My friend is a corn farmer
he has severe headaches almost daily
he has the sensation that his eyes are crossed
dizziness, nausea, mood swings and feeling that he can't get up.

Does any of this ring a bell with anyone out there?

i would agree with the people who say it could be from Pesticide Poisoning. I have seen alot of cases as i live in a farming area and my familly farms sounds like your friend has a mild case of pesticide poisoning. He should go to his doctor and ask him to run a Cholinesterase Test this will give the doctor a reading of cholinesterase levels and they can base line it off there .

Farmer's Lung perhaps..
The symptoms of farmers lung include:
shortness of breath,
a dry irritating cough,
a sudden general feeling of sickness,
fever and chills,
a rapid heart rate, and
rapid breathing.

This doesn't explain ANY of your friends symptoms.

More likely causes would be migraines, although they usually don't occur daily. Sinusitis would be very probable. Headache, nausea, and dizziness can also be signs of a stroke. I would advise him to see a doctor.

The pesticides might be responsible for his symptoms. he may have allergy to them. You never know. When did this start, Was it sudden or came on very gradually? He must investigate his condition.
Nerve damage caused from the pesticides he uses. They have problably built up in his system after the years of farming and has manifested as they symptoms he is now feeling.
He probably changed one type of fertilizer or pesticide this year. One of the chemicals is causing him harm.
