Guys..do condoms really cut down on sensation?
Answers:
yes it does. i never realized this until i had sex with my wife (she was my gf then). i always use condoms since i had my first sex experience to be safe. i never realized what i was missing. there were a whole lot range of sensations that i was not aware. i even tried the thinnest, but it is still not the same.
though now that im married to my wife, from time to time, i still have to wear it.
only if you're cut.
Yep.
depends for who just get those studded or ribbed and flip that S*** inside out STUDED FOR MY PLEASURE!!LOL.but seriously they do cut down on feeling because it is a physical object but not to much where your not feeling anything
BIG time.. :-(
yes, but guys will make it out to be more then it is. and it is always better to be safe then sorry. and if a guy is really into you its not going to matter at all. remember to tell a guy if he does not want to use one to use his hand
NO! Its just BS from guys that don't want to use a condom. If any sensation is lost it is all in his head (not that one, the one that actually thinks). If anything, it heightens sensitivity because of decreased blood flow to the tip.
they do - but putting a spot or two of personal lubricant on the head of the penis before putting the condom on will make up for it. The lubrication in a condom is typically insufficient. With a little extra, the condom will move easily back and forth on the glans, giving a similar sensation to unprotected sex. Too much though can make the condom come off! So just use a little, and only on the glans (head).
It's not so much "cut down" sensation as it is different. There are several factors that contribute to the overall sensation. The woman's vagina conforms to the man's penis and both contribute to the body heat, friction, and lubrication - all feel different with and without a condom.
As suggested, when using a condom, it helps to put a drop of lube on your penis or inside the condom first.
I prefer the sensation without a condom.
personally i think they do. i like the natural feel of skin on skin. wearing a condom cuts down on the intensity of the penis pleasure that is obtained W/out a condom. being married 34 years, we're no longer worried about pregnancy and i don't have to wear a condom. i may not be as READY as 5-10 years ago but once the erection takes place, the pleasure w/out a condom is sensational.
The response 'Only if you're cut.' is false. I'm not circumsized and they do cut down on sensation a lot for me. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. There really isn't any good reason not to use condoms if they are appropriate for birth control or protection from disease. They aren't very effective though.
For a young guy who might climax too soon, or for a guy with a penis that is too large, or if the woman's vagina is too tight, a condom can be a bonus.
But ya, they do reduce sensation. There are significant differences between condom types too though. Some are far less noticeable than others.
Somebody said reduced bloodflow to the tip increases sensitivity? That's false. With bloodflow comes oxygen, and thus more excitability of nerve endings.
I think so because you now have a barrier.
to an extent, they do. it is still better to be safe than sorry.
Yes, they do. But don't let that be a reason for taking a chance with STDs! It's better for your boyfriend to have to deal with a little less sensation than for both of you to take that big risk.
