Poppy seeds and prostate health?

I was taling with my Physics teach...a huge health fanatic...he has inspired me and changed my life! (I am 16) I do yoga regularly, work out often, eat better than I was, am concered abouit more issues...invole myself in many things but no I feel like everything he says I believe automatically.lol so today he said he has been eating raw poppy seeds and so I said "for a healthy prostate?" he said yes...when I got home i really thought about it and realized that I should always belive him...even if he is right 99% of the time...so the questions is (wow that took forever) does the consumption of raw poppy seeds help prostate health? I know I am only 16 but if I am eating these things that help prevent problems when I am older then why not?! ya know.
I don't want and pills to take or a glove covered finger touching a portion of om prostate...so I am looking for foods that help with the health of the prostate...or help prevent potential problems...
thank you soo much

Hi there. There are a lot of claims by herbalists when it comes to prostate health and the prostate check is very important for men in their 40's and older. Saw Palmetto has been proven to help preserve prostate health and sexual activity solo or with a partner 4 times a week is very beneficial to the prostate. Poppy seeds have been shown to give a false positive on urine drug screens for opiates like (heroin, morphine). Herbal supplements are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration and many haven't even been tested for their efficacy. Buyer beware. Have a great day.
