i keep getting dizzy spells when i stand up, what would cause this, i don't drink or do drugs?

Answers:
Have you had your blood pressure taken lately? If it is really low, then you need to sit up & dangle your feet over the side of the bed before getting up. Don't get up suddenly. This gives your blood time to get to your brain.

start drinking and doing drugs
too tired
dehydration possibly, is your pee colorless? it should be
Dehydration most likely.
vertigo?

maybe you are anemic?

low blood sugar?

lack of vitamins?

.........go see a doctor fast!!
That happends sometimes....especiall. if you've been sitting down and you stand up really fast.
sometimes that happens to me. x-peccialy when i get a cold. r u stuffy or anything? maybe ur just standing up to fast.
Look into something called "vertigo".check your symptoms and see if this is what you have.you might just have low circulation. Talk to your doctor about it.
The same thing has happened to me for the past two days. I've been told that I'm not drinking enough water, but I don't know if that is the cause or not.
low blood pressure

you could be low in iron, anemic

or it could be something else. see your doctor.
May have an inner ear infection, a high fever, low blood pressure, or other health problems. You may need to see a medical physician. I had very bad equilibrium problems from sinus problems and having my braces worked on as it affected my sinuses greatly. Drinking and doing drugs is not the answer that was ignorant. I agree with many of the other answers as being probable. Once I got dizzy alot and later got a bad viral infection as a teenager along with I was severely dehydrated.
anemia. get ample rest so it wont worsen. experienced it myself several times :)
maybe you should go to the doctor and have them check your blood for high blood pressure and check to see if you have diabetes or if you may be an anemic
blood sugar level low or dehydration. Also if you have a sinus infection or fluid in your ears it could make you dizzy. Probably not too serious unless it goes on for 3 or more days or the condition worsens--if so see your doc.
Your ears keep your balance, so there may be an inbalance of fluid in your ears. It's a good idea to visit the doctor if you're having frequent dizzy spells.
Low blood sugar or low blood pressure. Only your doctor can tell for sure.
It could be vertigo, an inner ear infection, or
low blood pressure. Take your time and slow down when you get up. You should call your Dr.
and tell him your symptoms. I'll bet one of the above is correct. There is medication available
for all three.
Well, obviously you should ask a doctor.
But, I know that low blood pressure, high blood pressure, poor leg circulation, allergies and even minor dehydration can all cause these things. So maybe get checked out just to be safe.

Hope you feel better soon.
GO TO THE DOCTOR, IT CAN BE ANY THING YOU SHOULD GET A CPX( COMPLETE PHYSICAL XAM) FORM YOUR PCP(PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR) AND MAKE SURE HE OR SHE CHECK YOU OUT THOURGLY.
Get your doctor to check your blood pressure.
my girlfriend had same problem and when she went to the doc it wasnt low sugar or dehydration. It was some sort of neurological problem that was easily fixed. Try eating more sodium and drinking gatorade.
Do you drink sodas, eat donuts or other junk? You must educate yourself in nutrition and follow what you learn to remain healthy.
It could be any number of things--blood pressure, blood sugar, heart, etc. etc. It could range from something simple all the way to something very, very serious. This happened to me years ago and one of the first things they did was check for low blood sugar. It tured out that I did have low blood sugar. If it had not been low blood sugar, they were prepared to do other tests for something more serious.

You definitely should go to the doctor.
Sounds like inner ear too me. Unless you have other health problems.
i have no idea but once when i was sick that happened to me so i went into my parents bedroom and accidentally threw up. so mabe you should try the same thing
you're probably standing up too fast and the blood rushes down too fast
happens to me sometimes too..
It's probably just because you simply got up too fast. However, it can also be because your blood sugar is low or you haven't been eating or drinking (non-alcoholic beverages, of course) enough lately. If you ever feel weak, dizzy, or tired more than just after you stand up, try what I suggested. If you don't, just try getting up a little slower. Hope this helps!
