GUYS would you sell?

If a stranger on the street offered you $100 for your shirt, or $100 for your socks, or $100 for your underwear, no strings attached, would you sell them to him? Someone at the gas station gave me $200 for my shirt and socks as I was coming back from the lake. Easy money, but what is he doing with them?

Without knowing more about the situation and the guy who purchased them, I can't tell what his motivations were. Yes, as you said, these sorts of things happen on those candid camera shows all the time. There was even a gameshow called "Let's Make a Deal" where they'd go out on the street and pull stunts like these. I gather that wasn't the case since you didn't see a camera. And, if the guy who bought these items from you was well dressed, it's unlikely he was in need of clothes. I've never heard of a murder case where the suspect obtained evidence from another guy at a gas station to plant at the scene, although I guess it's possible these days. My guess is the guy who did it was either pulling your leg or maybe he had a sock fetish. He knew he couldn't get you so he decided he'd get the next best thing--your clothes? Possible. I mean, he could have bought brand new socks and shirts from WalMart for less than $10.
