Do men lost their sex drive after 40?

My bf is 42 yrs old and seem to have no sex drive at all. I am 5 yrs younger than him and still want some intimacy. what can I do to get in interested in sex again?

Get him to eat a healthier diet and take vitamins would be a good start. If he smokes or drinks, try to get him to quit. A moderate amount of vigorous exercise will help him too. After that, I think you would have to get creative or see a doctor. It could all be mental too, so don't overlook that possibility! Good luck!

uhm. no, men never loose their sex drive. I does slow down somewhat, but they never loose it. Women on the other hand. eventually women loose all desire for sex

No, seriously, if he's lost all interest at 42, there is a problem, either physically or emotionally. Talk to him about it, and get him to go with you to an MD first, and then maybe to counseling.
After 45 the male sex drive slowly and steadily decreases.

Well, I'm 67 and still like a rabbit. Have him ask his doctor as there are many types of medication that he is on that could have caused this problem. Also, medication is available to heat up the bedroom scene.
There's something going on in his life -- maybe job-related stress or overwork -- that could be at least part of the problem. Talk with him about it. There's nothing magic that happens when a man turns 40 that should make him lose his sex drive. I am 65 and still enjoy sex.

my bf is 40 and he is not even close to losing it, I believe it is not the age, I lost my sex drive with my ex husband when I feel out of love with him. but with my bf of 7 years don't have that problem now.

Talk to him and see if there're any problems that bother him. If it is physical problem, have him to see doctor.
