Can we sleep with wearing contact lenses?
Answers:
no. Corneal tissue gets its oxygen supply mainly through diffusion from the air, since it is an avascular tissue. Wearing contact lenses inhibits this process, even the most permeable ones do to an extent. Contacts should be removed a couple hours before bed to give they eyes a chance to breathe. If the cornea does not get enough oxygen then blood vessels will start to penetrate.
You can sleep in certain brands of contact lenses but not all.
You would have to tell me what brand you wear.
yes, with specific contacts designed to allow oxygen to pass through them...the 30 day type. Ask your optomitrist about these lenses.
Umm apparently there is a brand that you can sleep with when they're in your eyes. However it is always good to let your eyes breathe and refresh themselves. The other brands though you shouldn't sleep with them in your eyes. That can cause infections and greatly irritate your eyes. Your eyes need to refresh themselves.
