How long it will take for my arms to be 20 inches?

ive been working out the past few weeks and my biceps are 15 inches around right now and i want them to be at 20 inches, right now im working with about 30 pounds, how long will it take for my arms to get that big?

Get that weight up...my goal is 18 and mine are 15... time depends on genetics and how diciplined you are with your workout... make sure you use a diverse routine such as curls, hammer curls, reverse curls, peaks, and pyramids or 21's. Do them until you cant hold the bar anymore. Its probably safe to do them twice a week. I would maybe recomend mon. and thurs. so you have even spacing between days. Go heavy with 5 to 8 reps for about 2-3 weeks then switch it up and do light with about 12-15 reps for another 2 weeks or so. Should notice some improvement. I was stuck for a while until I learned about the different muscle fibers and how you can plateau if all you do is heavy workouts. Ive been doing my lighweight workouts and they feel great. They may never get that large. You have a genetically determined number of muscle fibers in your arms. The fibers will become thicker with exercise but you will not create more fibers
I'm not really sure. It all depends on your genetics and how bad you want 20 inches. I would have to guess it would take at least a few months though. You would have to pump iron religiously and up your weight a little at a time. Also, don't just do one type of weight exercise. You have to work all the arm muscles. So, use a weight bench and bench press, do curls for the biceps, and there's another one for triceps that I can't remember the name of. You use a hand weight and pur your arm straight down, bend forward a little, and keep your arm straight as you lift the weight behind you and hold it for a few seconds. Also, your muscles may never reach 20 inches because of genetics. Look at all the men in your family, on mom and dad's sides, to get an idea about what kind of muscles they achieved. Dont concentrate too much on your biceps..focus on triceps as they make up two thirds of the arm. if you start building them up, you will achieve your goal quicker.
