Would estrogen treatments/supplements stop hair loss?

I was curious if supplements or any treatments consisting of the female hormone would halt my hair loss. I'm in the early stages, but I know it's caused by DHT, etc., which is just a transformed version of testosterone. Perhaps it could work?

For you, you need the testosterone part of it.
Not the Estrogen part, which comes from testosterone.
I suggest you look at the synthesis pathway of estrogen and testosterone.

Some recent studies suggest that some male hair loss is caused by very high levels of testosterone, that is why guys who have hair loss usually happens before 30 yrs of age, on the other hand females loose it later in life due to high levels of testosterone apart from those who go on hormone replacement therapy. You did not mention your age, I would talk to your Dr regarding your hormone levels.
Possibly but there would be a lot of side effects. You would be better to try 'regaine' which is a lotion that is rubbed into the scalp and contains an ingredient which can prevent further hair lossand promote hair growth. The only thing is that any new hair will fall out if you stop using it and it is quite expensive (approx £50 a bottle). You can get it from pharmacies.

I don't think it would work and its certainly not an area that is worth experimenting on. If you really want to stop hair loss, there are other effective treatments available on the internet.
