sperm was produced in a small amount?

after a heavy exercise in the afternoon my sperm was produced in a small amount at nighttime. my wife thinks that i'm cheating, i didn't. all i felt was i was thirsty all the time, and my body was warm. is there a connection between exercise and small amount of sperm?

Answers:
I have discussed this many times in the past so please bear with me if I sound harsh in my reply (older questions on this board were of the same nature).

Basically good exercise does not affect sperm production, but dehydration and keeping your scrotum area too warm will in fact reduce your ejaculate. Let me explain.

Keeping yourself hydrated is essential for all vitality functions, including sperm production, although drinking too much water not NOT necessarly increase your ejaculate's volume (but in some cases may help).

Exercising is essential for keeping your body in good working order, hence also making sure it produces enough semen. But the other side of the coin is if you keep your crotch area (testicles, scrotum) too tight and warm/hot, will proove to have negative effects on the production of sperm. There is a direct link between a low sperm count/low semen volume and keeping your testicles in a hot environment.

I suggest you try to keep your "package" as loose as possible (i.e. wear loose underwear and pants, nothing tight) and as cool as possible as well. This will give your semen all the chance it needs to properly reproduce itself.

Also, some men just don't produce much sperm, so it may also be normal for you to not produce so much.

Check out my older posts on the subject for more details about keping your "package" happy and healthy!

maybe
There could be other factors as well.

And how did you measure said amount of sperm?
Good Question. I have no idea, but interesting to look into.
I dunno. Ask your doctor.
You will find answer but satisfaying your wife question of cheating is the main concern
No but there is a connection between diabetes, low sperm, excessive thirst, warm body temp. Get to the dr's for a sugar test.
Your body may need it, and absorb it during exercise. May be a bit dehydrated too. Try Gatorade. Zinc is useful too.
Keep up with your water. Your body can't function right without a good supply, at least 8-eight ounce glasses a day. What do you think the semen fluid is made of? WATER mostly.

I don't know about exercise doing that, but again.ask your dr.
Sperm production is very dependent on level of hydration in your system. Your ejaculate contains mostly water. You said you were very thirsty after exercising. This leads me to believe you were dehydrated. Drink alot more water every day and you will probably notice the difference over time.
