aftershave?

what exactly is after shave? is it just to make em smell sexy or wot? like women to perfume? is it liquid?

In theory I suppose, it's alcohol, which would help close the pores on the face after shaving..(hence the name). It's exactly like womens perfume, but smells a bit different. It is liquid and, I must warn you, if you use it after shaving, it will STING. But only for a second.
My favourite on a bloke is Eternity for Men by Calvin Klein.

it is an Alcohol based liquid used to sterilize the face after shaving. The razor gives lots of small cuts over the face. It will also stop pimples and ingrown hairs caused by shaving. The scent is optional but anything by Burberry's is wonderful

Yes it's liquid, usually oil or alcohol based and it is generally applied to make the person smell nice - "after shaving".
