What does it mean when your stool is green?

Answers:
I wouldn't worry too much about green stool. It's most likely just your diet. If you see a rusty red from dried blood or something like that, then be concerned. Either way, you could always just call your doctor to be safe. A lot of questions like this can be answered over the phone and won't require you to go in to the office.

Good luck!

To much grass in your diet.
It's nothing to be worried about..I sometimes have green stools too. It just depends on what you have been eating (green veggies?)
You ate something with green dye in it.
It could be the diet, but if there will be a little diarrhea also, then it is a sign of infection.
A "green" and sometimes "clay-like" appearance to the feces is a result in a lack of blood cells expelled. Evidently, the intestinal flora will be lacking...
usually that you have eaten gaseous foods.
It has to do with diet. Blueberries will turn your stools green, as will many food products that contain certain dyes. What you need to worry about, is when your stool is very dark (almost black) or bloody. This can be a sign of bleeding in the intestinal tract.
