I want to get the lap band surgery, but I have no insurance?

If I were to get insurance how long before I could get the surgery and they would cover it? If they wont cover it how much would it cost out of pocket? I really need to loose weight and have tried many, many times to do so but no luck. My back kills me and I can hardley make it through work it's that bad. I am only 28 and I'm afraid my weight will cripple me.

.Surgery is not the answer, You need to first Pray to GOD ,then push back from the table, stay away for fast foods.
Drink a gallon of water every day, eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit and exercise for one hour every day. Keep walking,go swimming, join a health club if you need a trainer. Check with a good nutritionist
I think there is a year wait after getting insurance for a pre existing condition. Your best bet would be to get a job that has health care coverage. I don't believe there is a wait then. In the mean time, cut back your calorie in take and do some exercise. Best of luck.
First of all, I hate to say this but no insurance company will accept any person that has an existing medical condiction. It is very unlikely. May be there is a way but I don't think so. If you can get medical insurance, it will be very expensive. I support you on getting the surgery but I just wanted to point out somethings before getting medical insurance. Maybe it take up to a year in a half to get insurance. If you want to look into more insurance companies go to this website at the bottom. They give you quotes and what they do and don't cover.
Insurance does not pay for the lap band procedure.
I would suggest getting at least a cheap health policy before you have the procedure done. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.
