Answers:
It's not likely that you have bone spurs that are causing hand pain. Those usually occur in the foot. You may be having a Carpal tunnel syndrome or just plain arthritis, however without more information, it's impossible to help you. If you had any trauma, you should have it x-rayed to make sure it's not broken.

A simple xray will let the doctor know if you have bone spurs or not
Bone spurs occur after an injury..if you haven't ingured your body you probably do not have a bone spur
Bone spurs, also known as osteophytes, are bony projections that form along joints. Bone spurs form due to the body's increase of a damaged (usually due to arthritis) joint's surface area in a futile attempt to improve weight distribution.

Typically bone spurs seem to occur in the spine, neck, heel, or toes. Treatment usually involves anti-inflammatory medications, muscle relaxant meds, and initially rest. Cortisone injections are sometimes very helpful. I didn't fine any information specifically about hand spurs. You should probably see a doctor about the pain in your hand.

These sites will give you more information about bone spurs.
Bone spurs are the result of ossification of ligamentous structures. This would not account for the pains in the hands. You do not mention whether it is occuring in the joints or musculature. so really makes it diffucult to offer any opinion.
