My son is six years old at times he gets severe headaches he tells me when he is getting one.?
A lot of times they occur when he is at school or around a lot of kids that are being loud and screaming. Can it be possible for him to suffer from migraines at such a young age?

Yes very positive, my husband has had them since he was four. my daughter has them. Does light bother him? Or does he get sick at his stomach? Both of my family members can feeling them coming on. I would take him to a pediatrcian they can determine very quick without alot of tests. Does anyone in family have them? . they are inherited .Hope this helps some.
Sounds like a tumor. Better get a CAT scan, pronto.
Yes its possible but there are other things to check out. Have his eyes checked by an eye docter (not school nurse). My daughter's eyes checked out fine by the school nurse three times but she kept getting headaches, so I took her to an eye docter and she is far-sighted. The school nurse can only check for near-sightedness. Also, take him to his pediatrician and explain the symptoms and in what situations these headaches occur. There are many other possible causes than migraines or vision problems.
yes he could have migraines. have him checked by his dr. they have meds that can prevent those kinda of headaches. it is a pill you take once a day. it is something like ferinal not sure of spelling but dr. will know . my son had to take it when he was nine. he took for two years. now he is a lot better
Yes, young children can get migraines, especially if one or both parents are subject to them. Sometimes the symptoms, particularly the nausea, are more obvious that the headache part. It can make it hard to diagnose it properly.
my 6 yr old daughter does the same thing.but i also get migraines on a normal basis.it can be genetic but not always.anyway - yeah, just get his eyes checked and take him to his doc.good luck
take to doctor ASAP.NOW.don't wait.
Why are you asking people you don't even know about your son's health? Ask a doctor for God's sake!!
Ask the pediatrician, moron.
I actually was diagnosed with migraines when I was 3. It is definately a possibility that he gets them at such a young age. My advise to you is go to a good neurologist. I went to Children's Hospital in St. Louis. They were wonderful, performed a few test and then diagnosed me. The best thing to do for a child at that age is put them in a dark room and let them sleep. I had to have complete silence and darkness with a cold wash cloth on my head. If you want additional tips or info, just let me know.
It is possible its migrains but other tha\n getting his eyes checked which has already been suggested and I agree with - get his ears checked - my daughter has had numerous ear infections and even perferated ear drums with colds and now does not like loud noises - she goes to day care (she is 3) and her teacher says that she often asks her to get the other kids to make less noise as it hurts her ears. Best bet is to go to the Drs to get him checked out.
Well I definitely would seek medical attention for him. You need to have his eyes examined by an opt. to see if he needs glasses. If that is not it then you should maybe suggest to his doctor that he need and CT scan or an MRI to make sure there is nothing growing inside his brain not to scare you or even consider any constriction of nerves. Is he eating properly or maybe he is eating something that is causing his headaches such as msg. products. Many people are allergic to this ingredient in there foods. Hopefully to he doesn't have migranes (he would seem to be much to young for this) Also I suggest having his blood sugars checked, that is also a sign of diabetes (possible juvenile diabetes). Well good luck in finding out what is going on with your son. Connie
yes. but i would definitly get him evaluated by his doctor he would be better able to determine what the cause of the headaches are.
