For treating an infected injury?
Sorry for the gross question - thanks, guys.
Answers:
It's not stupid, it happens to the best of us.
The best thing to do is to get some Polysporin cream, it is an antibiotic which should help the infection. Keep the area clean and covered to prevent any other bacteria from setting in.
If it becomes extremely red and swollen or becomes really painful, then you need to see the doctor to get a prescription for something stronger.
Hope you feel better soon.
Keep the area clean. put on some bacitracin or polysporin to kill the bacteria. If it gets red, warm to the touch or starts to have whitish or greenish discharge from it, get to the doctor. you can either put a band aid on it or leave it open to the air, but make sure you keep it dry (change bandage after showering etc).
