Boken Elbow?
Any suggestions?
Answers:
I broke my elbow at age 12, I was put in a back slab & used to be a cheeky sod and take it off and straighten my arm. Now 19yrs later it sometimes gives me hassles when I'm carrying anything for a long time with my arm bent and then go to straighten it, my elbow will lock up (can't straighten it) then it will pop and will be fine. I would follow what your Doc says and even see a physical therapist to see if theres any strengthening exercises you can do afterwards. Listen to medical advice even when you think it's all healed.
id go to hospital first and get it sorted there. ask them what 2 do
Do as you are told by doctor at hospital
Don't do any activity that puts any form of stress on your arm, and don't move your arm (assuming you don't have cast already).
I once broke my arm, right next to the wrist joint. Do not push, pull, press down, hang on to anything using that arm. Be careful of even the minor bumps.
In short, this is a time for you to throw your chores onto those who are around you, and focus on only the light stuff.
Note: If it is the arm you write with, avoid writing unless absolutely necessary (tell your teachers at school you can't write or else your arm may be stressed out and it may affect you in the long run). Otherwise, practice writing with your other arm.
Seek medical advise immediately and then follow all the instructions given to you by the doc and nurses and then try taking glucosamine to prevent further joint damage and reduce the risk if arthrtitis..
put it in plaster
Ibroke my elbow a few years ago just keep it rested for a few weeks shouldn`t cause you too many problems later on , the winter is the worse because of the cold take cod liver oil
keep it splinted and follow the directions of your orthopedist.
