Anesthsia Shivers?
Why do you shiver (even if you're not cold) when the anesthesia is wearing off after a surgery?
Answers:
I had that happen after an epidural, even though I was not particularly cold or scared. It was weird, I had the most powerful all over tremors that I could not control. I did not have the same effect with general anesthesia (that I recall) or with twilight anesthesia.
STRESS FROM BEING AT THE DENTIST. HAPPENS TO ME EVEN WHEN IM ON THE CHAIR. I SWEAT AND GET COLD. ITS JUST NERVES
I don't know why, that is just one of the side effect. I experience the same thing too.
that's a good question. I wondered that myself, but I don't know the answer. I think, it effects the central nervous system and this is why. Good luck.
