I would like to know if Sulfacetamide Sodium clears up red irritated eyes?

My husband was recently in a bad auto accident and he hit the windshield with his face.Our family dr. prescribed Sulfacetamide Sodium eyedrops. His eye was cut up badly and his lashes were cut off and now they are growing back, however they are irritating his eye..Could someone please let me know.Thank you for your time.

it acts like an antiseptic.doesn't clear it up; see an ophthalmologist, your husband may have an underlying corneal abrasion or ulcer which is causing the irritation

yes, Sulfacetamide is usually used for pink eye, but in this case it will also prevent infection in your husbands eye.
