If I am allergic to ampicillian can I take augmentin?

Answers:
First of all never take medications that your doctor hasn't prescribed to you. S/he will most likely be able to discuss with you all risks or figure out allergic reaction possibilities and whatever he doesn't catch your pharmacist should.

ANYwhooo augmentin is "ampicillin-clavulanate" in other words it has ampicillin in its actual chemistry which makes it a big no-no for anyone allergic to ampicillin so please steer clear and your doctor shold be able to find something that you will eb able to take without harming you.

Be careful because both are penicillin type drugs.
nooo u cant, it is the same group
absolutely not it is in the same family as penicillian, you ask for omnicef or macrobid or something of that nature
I would strongly advise against it. Amoxacillin is a drug closely related to ampicillin and there is high risk of an allergic reaction in your case. Consult your doctor or pharmacist.
No, they are both in the penicillin group of antibiotics. There are other groups of antibiotics that you will not be allergic to, go and talk to your doctor and he will prescribe a suitable one.
