Why do I always get paper cuts when I use cardboard?

the cardboard is stronger than standard paper, therfore it doesnt give when you apply preasure to the edges, and then you get cut as a result.
Your fingers are "catching" edges wrong. Get some light garden gloves. Use these primarily for opening boxes. If you are susceptible to paper cuts, don't be afraid to use light weight semi- dressy gloves. Tell people, if they ask, it is to protect your fingers. They will understand.
