Settlements for scars?

A co-worker was using a faulty product that flung hot sugar about 4 feet onto my arm. I recieved a long thin burn about 6 inches long , wrapping around my forearm. The scar is highly visible . The company is investigating the incident . How much of a settlement can I expect. Any info greatly appreciated.

Answers:
I doubt you'll get any settlement. Worker's compensation is for an injury that prevents you from working by making you disabled. A scar is not a disability.

You don't say how long ago this happened, but generally speaking, burn scars do diminish over time. Visit a dermatologist for advice on how to treat the area and what to expect.
Probably nothing if it involves workman's compensation. I have scars on my legs, arm and about 75% of my head from an industrial accident and hospital bills were all that was covered. My advice is to be proud of your scars, you had to earn them.
