shoulder joint is the most unstable joint of our body. the mobility of the joint compromises the stability, unlike the hip, which is also the ball and socket joint. you're lucky to have only two dislocations,Coz some people have it so often, they don't even feel the pain. so we may not call it an 'actual' recurrent dislocation. but looking at the second incidence, where u probably dislocated or subluxed it in sleep suggests that the rotator cuff and shoulder girdle muscles are very weak. u need to know what sort of dislocation it is, anterior, posterior or inferior. accordingly the muscles Can be given priority. physiotherapy can surely help you out, but it all depends upon how much u've injured urself in the past. start with isometric exercises of all the shoulder girdle muscles. slowly u can progress to free exercises and then strength training followed by plyometrics.surgery might be the only chance if your muscles are too weak. this is very vague information so you do need to consult a professional in your area.
Nope, not for that.. Go to the Doctor and schedule your surgery. You will feel bad for a little while, but the pain will be gone. So the sooner the better. Just get it over with. Best of Luck..
try to rest a lot and do not sleep on the side of the shoulder which is paining and go for the "wax massage" which is quite helpful in these type of cases.
Also do not play for few months till you yourself think it is ok and if still it does not go good than go for the surgery.
All the very BEST dear.
AU REVOIR!
I disclocated my shoulder 2 yrs ago in a mortorbike accident, I done the physio thing for a yr then it came out again and then a few more times. I opted for the surgery, its called a open bankhart repair for anterior dislocation. The shoudler is alot more stable now, but still going to physio and it hurts quite abit. I doubt the physio alone will ever help you if your a physical person go for the open bankhart, the scar aint pretty though but its more reliable than the key hole surgery.
The cost of shoulder surgery is very low in India as compared to USA,UK and Canada. You can get the surgery done there in a fraction of cost of what would you pay in USA or private UK
There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges orthopaedic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by NHS in the UK.They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your shoulder surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin also got her shoulder surgery for in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now.She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. hope this helps.
I would recommend this company to you as you are willing to travel abroad and get the surgery at low cost.
