How do I prevent these blisters on the bottom of my feet?

Whenever I play basketball, I put a lot of pressure on the bottom of my feet and my big toes when i'm "standing on my tippy toes" sorta, and it starts to hurt. When I go inside and take off my socks, I have these blisters/puss spots on the bottom of my feet. How can I prevent this from happening next time? Is there any kind of shoe sole or ointment, etc? Does this happen to everyone? What can I do about it now that I already have them from playing basketball yesterday?

stop running and jumping and take a rest for few days .
i know exactly what u are talking about. the old remedy for that is to wear more layers of socks. use to happen to us at basketball camp
They are called sweat blisters, Their is a special kind of sock that you can wear that will prevent these from coming, Also have your boyfriend where lighter type socks, No heavey duty socks or dark socks, as the darker the socks the worse the chances are that he will get the blisters, Also have him place baby powder on his feet before putting on any kind of socks this will help keep his feet dry inside the sock when his feet sweat,

P.S. my husband had these and on occasion still gets them but not near as bad , because this is how we handle them. so I know what they are and how to handle them , and I also have 13 brothers and some of them had the same thing. good luck.
I had that, too! I had to walk all the day long, and in the evening had these huge blisters on my soles. I could not walk properly after wards! Try to change your shoes, on something with double soles, and wear very thick socks.
You are wearing ill fitting shoes. Go to an athletic store or department store that measures feet and be fitted into the right size. Also go to a podiatrist, and have your feet examined. Pus means infection, and having infection in your feet is not a good thing. It could very well get out of hand and get worse.
I'm a runner, but i learned how to prevent blisters. it's all in the socks. Back in the day, when i wore normal hanes socks i'd get blisters constantly. I wen to a running specialty store and bought running socks for appx $10. Havn't had a single blister since.

something to consider.
