what precentage of meth users recover fully?
Answers: Here has been my experience, I don't know the percentage.
I tried meth when I was 15 and LOVED it. I was instantly hooked. This might have had something to do with the fact that I have ADD and meth works in the same way as many ADD drugs. By the time I was 16 I was living with this guy and had a $200 a week habit. I couldn't even tell you how I get there, I never would have imagined my life ending up there.
The point is I did quit, but I had to move to get away from my dealer and stop talking to all of my meth friends. I also read a book called "Recovery From Addiction" and it set up a nutritional plan to start healing my body. I STRUGGLED and messed up a couple of times.
Now it's ten years later and I am a physical therapist and that time seems like a bad dream. I am married and have a wonderful child. I'm sure there was a reason for that time in my life but I'm lucky to have no permanant damage, that I know of.
If you are a meth user, it's possible to quit. I don't even think about it anymore. Good luck to you, I hope you have a lot of support.
at least 1%, I did and you can do it too! dont let it fool you it can kill you. Its hard but if you want to life a life for you and have a family ang grow old ,stop it know seek help if you have too. god bless
dont you mean ex meth users
meth users who do not stop die.
Not sure of exact statics, but it's low percent.
It is really difficult to get off the meth train, I have seen it done though. With the right help and change of lifestyles it can be done. Percentage's are very low not more than 10% I would guess.
It is extremely difficult to recover fully from meth addiction. Here in Arizona, the recidivism rate is very high, not because the help doesn't exist here, but because it is extremely costly, as the recovery process takes a very long time. I wish all people who are struggling with addiction to meth the very best of luck and strength in thier recoveries.
RECOVER COMPLETELY? NONE. ONCE YOU HAVE DAMAGED YOURSELF IN THAT WAY, IT CAN'T BE UNDONE. YOU DON'T REGROW TOOTH ENAMEL, BRAIN CELLS, LUNG AND LIVER CELLS.
Depends on your definition of recovery. My brother is brain damaged for life..but he doesnt use anymore.
