any one know what causes the skin around forehead to itch? i am worried for my mother.?

Answers:
Could be eczema caused by allergies. I have that problem and my skin on my forehead will itch, eventually sort-of flake and develop a red "patch" to it.

She may have any of a variety of skin/scalp ailments. Psoriasis, eczema or even just a simple case of dermatitis. She may be allergic to a shampoo. Did she change it recently. Go to a medicated type, no fragrance or, try T-Gel or Tegrin. Good luck.
huh, how do the two sentences coencide? Red bumps or splotches could be exema. Is your Mom's forhead itching?
It could be eczema, or contact dermatitis caused by anything that comes in contact with her skin. Has there been anything new in her envirmoment, soaps, cleaners, detergents, makeup, hair care, pets, fans, hair dye, insecticides, bug repellent, or foods?

If the skin is broken or discolored she needs to see a doctor.
If eczema is suspected, then start feeding your mother yogurt with live acidophilous. Eczema may be due to candida (yeast) fungus, which can cause generalized itching. Yogurt can help control the yeast that is in all of us (in our intestine).
