abnormal chest X-Ray?

Was just informed today that my chest X-ray is showing a smalle 1.5 cen. on my left lung. I am going this Thursday to have a CT scan done, which I am not good at having test done or anything that gets close to my face. Do I need to worry?

Answers:
The nodule may be from prior infection(fungal/TB), a vessel, a bone island/soft tissue calc, or cancer. A CT scan can help with the diagnosis but if it is a soft tissue nodule, you may need to get multiple CTs to insure stability over 2 years.

CTs are fast, less than a minute depending on the scanner and study. Don't worry it about it.

Good Luck

It could just be a small scar tissure. The CT scan is really quick and they are right there in case you need them. Good luck to you.
No, a CT scan is like having a giant donut go over your body. It's not closed-in like an MRI, nor will it every touch your face.
a cat scan is nothing to worry about. It's simple and pain free and not that close. It's not like an MRI which is worse. The spot they see on the x-ray could be anything. It could be scar tissue from an earlier illness, from smoking, or from coughing. IT does not mean cancer. Good luck with the test and hang in there. Keep your eyes closed and you will speed right through it. :) keep smiling.
It's best to have the tests.
If it's nothing, fine.
If it's something, you've caught it early.
Best of luck to you.
