sound like Paget's disease of the bone, which is a metabolic bone disorder.

It's when the normal process responsible for continually breaking down old bone and replacing it with new boen is disrupted, and the bone expands making it look irregular shaped and bulging

Hydrocephalus causes enlargement of skull due to the pressure of cerebrospinal fluid. Acromegaly causes the large lower jaw and the broad fingers and hands. Ostetis deformans, otherwise known as Paget's disease is perhaps one of the most common bone diseases. The cause is unknown, but it leads to progressive thickening and deformities of the bones, especially the skull, tibia, femur, spine and pelvis. The disease occurs after the age of 40, and men are more frequently affected than women. The head becomes enlarged so that an increasing size in hats is needed. This leads to deafness. The legs become bowed and thickened and the spine curved so that the height is reduced. X-ray examination reveals the typical thickening of the bones. In severe cases, injections of calcitonin usually relieves symptoms of pain.
