If you have shingles, you can do little except apply calamine lotion to soothe the rash and take aspirin to ease the pain. You should see your physician, however, particulary if your face is affected. The physician may prescribe a more effective analgesic. In addition, you will need professional advice on how to protect your eyes.

I assume that he gave you meds for the shingles. Take Aleve.
When I was like 9 I had shingles. Yeah, it did hurt really bad. but I don't think they did anything about it except not let me leave home.
Shingles.remedies for----aloe vera,aspirin,baking soda ,oatmeal,motrin,lemon balm, rosehips.
Try Aloe Vera plants , bathe in baking soda water.
Have u tried ice therapy?
Using gabapentin
Duloxeitine
Call your Doctor and ask him or her if they can give you something for this horrible pain. If they can't then ask them what they think that you should try for it. Good Luck
Nonprescription pain medications, such as acetaminophen, aspirin, or ibuprofen, which may help reduce pain during an attack of shingles.
Try some Aleve; it seems to help me with severe pain

Good Luck
I am sure your doc must have given you an antiviral medicine (acyclovir) for shingles. It would take about 48 hours to decrease the pain with that medicine alone. If the pain is unbearable.. you could take any analgesics like paracetamol, ibuprofen etc.
If there are blisters inside the eye. make sure you keep that area clean wash gently with water.
Dont worry if the treatment has started its just matter of hours that the pain will go down.
All the best.
