my husband has psoriasis?

my husband has psoriasis, he's had it since he was like 7 yrs old. anyone know what store bought products can make them clear up. he doesnt have it bad at all but it makes him insecure. and he doesnt want to go to the dermatologist. so please some one let me know what he could use! I want to see him naked dammit! :)

My husband has something similar, ceribic dermitios (some spelling close to that) He gets it on his forehead really bad to the point that it is killing hair follicles, his eyebrows, and chest.

I finally got him to go to the dermatologist, she gave him some foam stuff and some cream, unfortually the foam (covered by insurance) didn't work, but the cream did (NOT covered by insurance and expensive!!) Since we were limited with the number of samples she gave us, we had to do something.

Someone suggested using T-Sol shampoo on all affected areas, really soak it in, scrub it in, leave it for about 20 minutes. When it is softened, slather up with baby oil BIG TIME. Johnson and Johnson's now make a baby oil gel which works for places not on the head. We did this several times a week, and it really helped out a lot.

Hopefully you can get him to see a doctor, they have lots of stuff that can help psoriasis.

Different things work for different people. Me and people in my support group have not found any over-the-counter product that worked for them for very long. I suggest you pull up information from the website below, print it out, and tell him there have been a lot of new treatments for Psoriasis that now work. Then ask if he will please make an appointment with a dermatologist because you would like him to feel better.

I also use Enbrel and it is a miracle for me. I was once 85% covered, and now only my scalp has some patches. I give myself two shots a week and see the derm only twice a year. It is expensive, but my insurance covers all of it. Some people have a copay.
Homeopathic treatment for Psoriasis :-
