I been diagnose with Melanomacytoma in the optic nerve, Has anyone heard of this?

Answers:
I assume you have been told they will have to remove the eye to get rid of this malignant tumor in a process called enucleation. It is necessary in order to save your life and not have this spread to your brain. You will be given a prosthetic eye, that they can attach to the muscles so it will move like the other one.

Unless they have newer options I am not aware of to retain the eye and your sight.

I had a scare this year myself over what turned out to be scar tissue. With the optic nerve being effected removal may be the only option. Though radiation and lasers are also being used and on other areas of the retina have proven as successful in treatment.
