What's the best way to minimize coughing while Whooping Cough is running it's course?

This would be after the week of antibiotics to stop it from being contagious.

WELL there's a lot of things that you can do.
You can use a vaporizer ( they come in different sizes- they are plugged into an outlet and it releases like a VICKS smell)
You can take a warm bath/ shower to temporary ease the pain.
Spray Lysol Antibacterial Spray to kill any irritants/ smells (tobacco smoke.etc.) that can trigger coughing.
A room that's dark and quiet would help too.
