What does it mean for recovering stroke victim who is awaken with hand and arm asleep?

Victim is under Dr care for stroke the numbess and asleep feeling in always in the hands and fingers sometimes in left arm.
Tests reveal no damage however nerve damage (RSD )is apparant. No more tests please!

May have had another small stroke.

Stroke affecting the spinal cord.
